Personal exhibition of the artist Evgeny Kiryanov, which took place from November 16 to December 3, 2023. The exhibition includes more than 40 works using the assemblage technique.
About the exhibition: In his works, the author refers to the Soviet period. The second title of the project: “Design of bygone days” refers us to this. Every industrial or household item in the USSR necessarily passed through the hands of a designer. But, as a rule, it was devalued and compared with its Western counterpart.
The objects that have come down to us from those years are beautiful in their own way, simple and easy to use, although they are somewhat “morally outdated”, since they were released decades ago - in the last century. Many items are in amazing condition. Find yourself in the hands of an artist, turn into an object of modern art.
The names of new objects against the backdrop of contrasting shapes, colors and materials encourage associations. Now objects have a new life: they balance between drama and irony, invite dialogue, and encourage thinking outside the box.

Title: Night Guest. Assembly, 2019.
This work is very unusual. It uses items of women's clothing: shoes, stockings, a dress or skirt hanging on a frame. All this is combined in one exhibition with a metal rusty sheet. The work looks dynamic due to the curved frame and definitely evokes emotions.
Title: The sinking of the frigate "Strict". Assembly, 2023.
The death of the frigate “Strict” is one of the author’s last works. The picture is a mystery, as Evgeniy says. According to the artist, not everyone can understand it, but only those who were born in the 70s and whose turbulent youth occurred in the 90s.
Title: I'm going north/Composition with a chess piece. Assembly, 2019.
The author took the materials for this work from his own dacha when he was dismantling the wall. From this, the artist decided to develop a plot: one man was playing chess in the park, because of a denunciation, people in black took him from this park, as the first title tells us, but at the exhibition the author decided to exhibit the work under a different name. The viewer must think of something, the author only gives direction.

According to the author, he once tried to add more artistry and color to his works, but in this work he wanted and tried to turn more to design aspects. These floppy disks really have something that can be combined and create a cohesive composition.

In this composition we see an unusual fusion and combination of various metals, the author does not throw them in the trash, because as he himself puts it, “It’s probably sad to end up in a landfill or melted down,” and the artist creates a work of art from this.

In some works, according to the author, pure form plays a key role. This work, an exhibition of piano keys, has exactly this meaning: to stand and enjoy the form. But nevertheless, some may find the work funny, while aesthetes will see something of their own in it.

We are presented with a composition consisting of bolts, iron springs, and even part of a rotary telephone. The title tells us about the idea of this work; most likely, this is how the author sees himself, his reflection through the prism of his creativity.

This composition shows a peculiar dilapidated stone disk, divided in half by a crack. The author explains the unusual composition as follows: “This is the moment when you want to go there, find yourself in space and think about the meaning of life.”

The next composition may seem strange and incomprehensible; we see a naked doll, a camera, a record, and labels of foreign alcohol. It turns out that all this speaks of a certain atmosphere: “You come to the plant, go into the men's locker room, men undress there in iron booths, they open the doors of these booths, and everything there is covered with various labels, records, women, from bottom to top and a little mediocre, but at the same time, it is a work of art.”

Most likely, this composition will be clear and understandable to many, especially when studying the name. We see in the work a man’s shoe, a saxophone, laid out coins, all of this is arranged in a competent combination; it is these things that tell us the main idea and allow us to feel the aesthetics of the music in the transitions.
The artist invites viewers to immerse themselves in a creative retrospective, to see how the author’s works have changed from the early 2000s to the present day. The balance of form and content is the form that the author strives for in his works.

Выставка «Экзальтированное эстетство»

Персональная выставка художника Евгения Кирьянова, которая прошла в период с 16 ноября по 3 декабря 2023 года. В экспозиции более 40 произведений в технике ассамбляж.
О выставке: В своих работах автор обращается к советскому периоду. Второе название проекта: «Design давно минувших дней» отсылает нас к этому. Каждый промышленный или бытовой предмет в СССР обязательно проходил через руки дизайнера. Но его, как правило, обесценивая, сравнивали с западным аналогом.
Дошедшие до нас предметы тех лет по-своему красивы, просты и удобны в обращении, хоть и несколько «устарели морально», поскольку увидели свет десятилетия назад – в прошлом веке. Многие предметы в удивительной сохранности. Большая удача – оказаться в руках художника, превратиться в объект современного искусства.
Названия новых объектов на фоне контраста форм, цветов и материалов побуждают к ассоциациям. Теперь у предметов новая жизнь: они балансируют между драматизмом и иронией, приглашают к диалогу, побуждают мыслить нестандартно.

Название: Ночная гостья. Ассамбляж, 2019.
Это работа очень необычна. В ней используются предметы женской одежды: туфли, чулки, на раме висит платье или юбка. Все это сочетается в одной экспозиции с металлическим ржавым листом. Работа выглядит динамично за счет кривой рамы, определённо вызывает эмоции.
Название: Гибель фрегата «Строгий». Ассамбляж, 2023.
Гибель фрегата «строгий» – одна из последних работ автора. Картина загадка, как говорит Евгений. По словам художника, понять ее может не каждый, а лишь те, кто родился в 70-е годы, и чья бурная молодость пришлась на 90-е.
Название: Я ухожу на север/Композиция с шахматной фигурой. Ассамбляж, 2019.
Материалы для данной работы автор взял с собственной дачи, когда разбирал стену. Из этого художник решил развить сюжет: один мужчина играл в шахматы в парке, из-за доноса люди в черном забрали его из этого парка, о чем подсказывает нам первое название, но на выставке автор решил выставить работу под другим. Зритель должен что-то додумать, автор лишь дает направление.
Название: Композиция с дискетой. Ассамбляж, 2012.
Со слов автора, когда-то он пытался придать больше художественности и цвета своим работам, но на данной работе он хотел и попытался обратиться в большей степени к дизайнерским моментам. В этих дискетах действительно есть то, что можно объединить и составить цельную композицию.

В данной композиции мы видим необычное слияние и соединение различных металлов, автор не отправляет их в мусор, ведь как он сам выражается «Наверное, грустно попасть на свалку или в переплавку», а художник создает из этого произведение искусства.
Название: Танго. Ассамбляж, 2014.
В некоторых работах, по словам автора, чисто форма играет ключевое значение. Данна работа, экспозиция из фортепианных клавиш, имеет именно такой смысл: стоять и наслаждаться формой. Но тем не менее, кому-то работа может показаться смешной, а эстеты увидят в этом что-то свое.

Перед нами представлена композиция, состоящая из болтов, железных пружины, даже часть дискового телефона. Об идее данной работы говорит нам название, скорее всего автор так видит самого себя, свое отражение через призму своего творчества.
Название: Природа Бытия. Ассамбляж, 2018.
На данной композиции представлен своеобразный полуразрушенный каменный диск, разделенный пополам трещиной. Автор объясняет необычную композицию следующим образом: «Вот этот момент, когда хочется зайти туда, оказаться в космосе и подумать о смысле жизни».

Следующая композиция может показаться странной и непонятной, мы видим обнаженную куклу, фотоаппарат, пластинку, этикетки иностранного алкоголя. Оказывается, все это вещает об определенной атмосфере: «Приходишь на завод, заходишь в мужскую раздевалку, там раздеваются мужчины в железных кабинках, они открывают двери этих кабинок, и все там обклеено различными этикетками, пластинками, женщинами, снизу доверху и немного бездарно, но в то же время – это произведение искусства».

Вероятнее всего, данная композиция будет ясна и понятна многим, особенно при изучении названия. Мы видим в работе мужскую туфлю, саксофон, разложенные монеты, все это расположено в грамотной комбинации, именно эти вещи подсказывают нам основную задумку и позволяют почувствовать эстетику музыки в переходах.
Художник предлагает зрителям погрузится в творческую ретроспективу, посмотреть, как менялись работы автора с начала 2000х и до сегодняшнего дня. Баланс форм и содержания – вот форма, к которой стремится автор в своих работах.
