In the drawing, Figs. 1 and 2 depict the proposed device in a perspective form.
The device consists of a main board 1, on which an anvil 6 and various templates 2 and 3 are installed, with cutouts 4 and 5 for the hand. The cutout 4 on template 2 covers the arm above the wrist joint, and in the cutout 5 of template 3, a part of the arm above the elbow joint is placed. The distance between templates 2 and 3 can be changeable, depending on the length of the person's arm, for which one of the templates is made movable, for example, template 3, which can be moved on the main board 1 in the recess 7 and fixed with a screw 8 passing through the slot 9.
The action of the device is to fix the required position of the hand during operation. In the position of the hand shown by the dotted line in the drawing, i.e. covered by holes 4 and 5 of templates 2 and 3, only the wrist joint can be movable. If the arm is covered only by the hole 5 of the template 3, then its movable parts will be the elbow and wrist joints. Anvil 6 serves as a place to direct hammer blows during training.
Gastev himself believed that labor attitudes should be extended not only to the production process, but also to everyday life and general culture.In his opinion, this would contribute to an increase in the quality of production.

На чертеже фиг. 1 и 2 изображают предлагаемый прибор в перспективном виде.
Прибор состоит из основной доски 1, на которой установлены наковальня 6 и раз′емные шаблоны 2 и 3, с вырезами 4 и 5 для руки. Вырез 4 на шаблоне 2 охватывает руку выше кистевого сустава, а в вырезе 5 шаблона 3 помещается часть руки выше локтевого сустава. Расстояние между шаблонами 2 и 3 может быть, в зависимости от длины руки данного лица, изменяемо, для чего один из шаблонов сделан передвижным, например, шаблон 3, который может быть перемещаем на основной доске 1 в выемке 7 и закреплен винтом 8, проходящим через прорез 9.
Действие прибора заключается в фиксировании требуемого положения руки во время работы. При положении руки, показанной пунктиром на чертеже, т.-е. охваченной отверстиями 4 и 5 шаблонов 2 и 3, может быть подвижным только кистевой сустав. Если рука будет охвачена только отверстием 5 шаблона 3, то подвижными ее частями будут локтевой и кистевой суставы. Наковальня 6 служит местом направления ударов молотком при тренировке.
Сам Гастев считал, что трудовые установки нужно распространять не только на производственный процесс, но и на быт, общую культуру.По его мнению, это бы способствовало росту качества производства.
