Recently, in the DPR at different addresses, giant installations of robot transformers have begun to appear more and more often. Most recently, on October 30, they finished collecting the fifth and last Autobot that "settled" in Donetsk in the area of the Mayak radio market (on Sokolinaya street, Blagoeva street stop on the route of trolleybus no. 2). This object immediately attracted the attention of citizens and in just two days managed to become a popular photo zone [1].
The unusual sculpture belongs to the employees of the car repair shop - Anatoly, Andrey and Vadim collect robots-transformers from auto parts and scrap metal in their spare time. The giant robot reaches 15 m in height and weighs up to 4 tons [2]. As told about the Donetsk News Agency (DNA) in the management of the car center, it is planned to put two more robots, but a little less a few meters. The installation of the second sculpture has already been started by employees of the KAMAZ Center enterprise, opposite which the giant has settled. There are also plans to put the territory in order – to make lighting, put benches and lay tiles. "After the sculpture appeared, people started stopping and taking photos, many of them come here as whole families. Especially a lot of people here on weekends. It is clear that people were attracted to this idea, and we are doing this work for them", - the source said. Perhaps this mini-park will become another favorite place of recreation for Donetsk residents and guests of the city [3].
The layout of the first such robot was created in 2015 by Gennady Sezonov, a 57-year-old craftsman from the village of Krinichnaya in the Soviet district of Makeyevka. It took Gennady about two months to make it. And the source of inspiration for the master was ... garbage:
"The idea to create a mock-up robot came to me when I noticed the plastic parts of cars lying at the roadsides. The bumpers, wheel covers, and body protection all reminded me of robot parts. They are specially designed to collect models from them. I do this for children to show that there are toys huge sizes" [4].
Gennady has several robots on his account at once. The second robot, almost 4 meters high, was installed on a house on Vavilina street. In 2018 Sezonov made another robot (as a gift for his grandson Mark), as well as a life-size motorcycle model [4].
Sizonov's robot sculptures are not the only ones in the city. So, in the center of Makeyevka, the Central City district, opposite the restaurant «Height» and the pizzeria «Celentano» (Ostrovsky street, 4), for a long time there is an Autobot from the movie «Transformers» Bumblebee [4].
A giant transformer is also installed on the territory of the metallurgical engineering plant in Debaltseve. It is illuminated at night and can move its head [4].
Donetsk is not far behind. The robot sculpture in front of the KAMAZ Center is not the only one - there has long been an Optimus Prime Autobot installed in the area of the meat processing Plant, near the Pilot Market (103d Ilyich Ave) [4].
The reaction of people to the appearance of new giant robots is ambiguous, and the debate around this topic continues on social networks.
Someone resents that this money could be used to do something more useful:
"Yes, I wish renovated semi-detached 2-floor house and the apartments given than to build these robots"
"You'd better have a Playground"
"Put in order the hospital and do not engage don't need a case"
Someone believes these objects are ugly and even aggressive:

В последнее время в ДНР по разным адресам все чаще и чаще стали появляться гигантские инсталляции роботов-трансформеров. Совсем недавно, 30 октября, закончили собирать пятого, последнего на данный момент, автобота, который «поселился» в Донецке в районе радиорынка «Маяк» (на ул. Соколиная, остановка «ул. Благоева» на маршруте троллейбуса №2). Данный объект сразу же привлек к себе внимание горожан и буквально за два дня успел стать популярной фотозоной [1].
Необычная скульптура принадлежит работникам авторемонтной мастерской – Анатолий, Андрей и Вадим в свободное время собирают роботов-трансформеров из автозапчастей и металлолома. Гигантский робот достигает 15 м в высоту и весит до 4 тонн [2]. Как рассказало Донецкое агентство новостей (ДАН) в руководстве автоцентра планируется поставить еще двух роботов, но чуть меньше на несколько метров. К установке второй скульптуры уже приступили сотрудники предприятия «КАМАЗ Центр», напротив которого обосновался гигант. Также в планах привести территорию в порядок – сделать освещение, поставить скамейки и уложить плитку. «После появления скульптуры люди начали останавливаться и фотографироваться, многие сюда приходят целыми семьями. Особенно много людей здесь на выходных. Видно, что людей привлекла эта идея, для них мы и проводим эту работу», – подчеркнул собеседник агентства. Возможно, такой мини-парк станет еще одним любимым местом отдыха дончан и гостей города [3].
Макет первого подобного робота еще в 2015 г. создал Геннадий Сизонов, 57-летний умелец из поселок Криничная Советского района Макеевки. На его изготовление у Геннадия ушло около двух месяцев. А источником вдохновения для мастера стал … мусор:
«Идея создать макет робота мне пришла в голову, когда я обратил внимание на лежащие у обочин автодорог пластиковые детали машин. Бамперы, колпаки на колеса, защита кузова – все это напомнило мне запчасти для робота. Они как специально созданы для того, чтобы собирать из них модели. Делаю я это для детей, чтобы показать, что бывают игрушки и огромных размеров».
На счету Геннадия сразу несколько роботов. Второй робот почти 4 метра в высоту был установлен на доме по ул. Вавилина. В 2018 г. Сизонов изготовил еще одного робота (в подарок для своего внука Марка), а также модель мотоцикла в натуральную величину.
Скульптуры-роботы Сизонова не единственные в городе. Так, в центре Макеевки, Центрально-Городской район, напротив ресторана «Высота» и пиццерии «Челентано» (ул. Островского, 4), уже достаточно давно находится автобот из фильмов «Трансформеры» Бамблби.
На территории завода металлургического машиностроения в Дебальцево также установлен гигантский трансформер. Он освещается ночью и может двигать головой.
Донецк не отстает. Скульптура робота напротив «КАМАЗ Центра» не единственная - здесь уже давно есть автобот Оптимус Прайм, установленный в районе Мясокомбината, возле «Пилот Маркет» (пр. Ильича 103Д).
Реакция людей на появление новых гигантских роботов неоднозначная, в социальных сетях не утихают споры вокруг данной темы.
Кто-то негодует, что на эти деньги можно было бы сделать что-то более полезное:
«Да лучше бы отремонтировали рядом стоящий 2-эт дом и людям квартир дали, чем строить этих роботов»
«Лучше бы сделали детскую площадку»
«Приводите в порядок больницы, а не занимайтесь не нужным делом»
Кто-то считает такие объекты некрасивыми и даже агрессивными:
«Это уродство по городу ставят, лучше что то красивое поставили»
«Смотреть неприятно. Какие-то агрессивные».
Но немало и тех, кого радует появление таких необычных объектов:
«Какие молодцы! Браво вам, ребята»
«Молодцы ребята! Ждём-с Ваш парк!»
«Мини-парк с освещением и скамейками — это замечательно!»
«КАМАЗ-Центр Молодцы!!! Вносят яркие краски в жизнь города!!!»
